I have not previously run for or held elected office.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-900e0254 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-h-4-font-size\">Top Three Priorities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-left is-style-short-red\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First, reform the city&#8217;s drug policies \u2014 pause syringe-service programs and invest in treatment, detox, and recovery housing instead. Second, restore responsible spending and keep taxes low by cutting red tape. Third, apply one standard to all<br>residents and support the small businesses and law enforcement that keep Bangor safe.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-900e0254 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-h-4-font-size\">Why are you running?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-left is-style-short-red\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;m running to protect my son and to give the people of Bangor a real voice. City Hall&#8217;s current approach to the drug epidemic isn&#8217;t working \u2014 it&#8217;s expensive and it isn&#8217;t making anyone safer. I&#8217;ll bring responsible spending, recovery-focused<br>policies, and a council that listens.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-900e0254 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-h-4-font-size\">What is the biggest challenge facing your town\/county? The biggest opportunity?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-left is-style-short-red\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our biggest challenge is the drug epidemic and the spending that comes with it \u2014 Bangor can&#8217;t keep paying for policies that don&#8217;t work. Our biggest opportunity is<br>our people: this city is full of neighbors who show up for each other, and with the right leadership we can turn that spirit into real results.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-900e0254 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-h-4-font-size\">If you could change one thing about how the town\/county functions, what would it be and why?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-left is-style-short-red\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;d end the double standard in how the city treats residents \u2014 one set of rules for<br>everyone, no carve-outs. That means disclosure and recusal when council members have conflicts, and policies that expect recovery and responsibility instead of funding the status quo.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-900e0254 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-h-4-font-size\">Do you support more development \u2013 i.e. more housing construction and business building in your town\/county? Why or why not?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-left is-style-short-red\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes \u2014 Bangor needs more housing and thriving businesses, but development should come with less red tape, not more taxpayer risk.
