Bangor City Council

Bangor

Previous Offices Held

This is my first campaign. I have not previously run for or held elected office.

Top Three Priorities

First, reform the city’s drug policies — pause syringe-service programs and invest in treatment, detox, and recovery housing instead. Second, restore responsible spending and keep taxes low by cutting red tape. Third, apply one standard to all
residents and support the small businesses and law enforcement that keep Bangor safe.

Why are you running?

I’m running to protect my son and to give the people of Bangor a real voice. City Hall’s current approach to the drug epidemic isn’t working — it’s expensive and it isn’t making anyone safer. I’ll bring responsible spending, recovery-focused
policies, and a council that listens.

What is the biggest challenge facing your town/county? The biggest opportunity?

Our biggest challenge is the drug epidemic and the spending that comes with it — Bangor can’t keep paying for policies that don’t work. Our biggest opportunity is
our people: this city is full of neighbors who show up for each other, and with the right leadership we can turn that spirit into real results.

If you could change one thing about how the town/county functions, what would it be and why?

I’d end the double standard in how the city treats residents — one set of rules for
everyone, no carve-outs. That means disclosure and recusal when council members have conflicts, and policies that expect recovery and responsibility instead of funding the status quo.

Do you support more development – i.e. more housing construction and business building in your town/county? Why or why not?

Yes — Bangor needs more housing and thriving businesses, but development should come with less red tape, not more taxpayer risk. I’ll support projects that respect
neighborhoods and stand on their own financially, and oppose ones that stick taxpayers with the bill.
