Harpswell, businessman to apply to take over stewardship of historic lighthouse
Harpswell Select Board members voted unanimously Wednesday evening to partner with the Presumpscot Foundation, a nonprofit founded by lighthouse owner Ford Reiche, to apply for ownership of Little Mark Island and stewardship of the monument that pins it to the waters of Harpswell Sound.
