None of the suspended nurses at CMMC in Lewiston have been reinstated

Union officials said they were premature in announcing that one of the 20 nurses suspended amid a unionizing effort had been allowed back to work.

A crowd of more than 100 called for the reinstatement of 20 nurses who were fired or suspended from the hospital this month.

The election marks the beginning of what could be a long fight to reinstate the nurses at the Lewiston hospital.

The governor said the hospital’s firing of 15 nurses and suspension of 5 more ‘raises serious questions about retaliation.’
