Gillian Graham has been a staff writer for the Press Herald since 2012 and a journalist in Maine since 2005. She covers York County and takes a special interest in cannabis culture and the medical marijuana program. During her time with the Press Herald, Gillian has told the stories of everyday Mainers, tackled issues of poverty and hunger and covered the historic marijuana legalization campaign. She has won regional and national awards for her work, including the Joseph D. Ryle Award for Geriatrics from the National Press Club for her coverage of senior hunger issues in Maine. Gillian grew up in Ogunquit and graduated from the University of Southern Maine. When not on the lookout for great stories, she can be found trolling flea markets and yard sales for vintage Pyrex, cooking new recipes and spoiling her nieces and nephews.
