She has won regional and national awards for her work, including the Joseph D. Ryle Award for Geriatrics from the National Press Club for her coverage of senior hunger issues in Maine. Gillian grew up in Ogunquit and graduated from the University of Southern Maine. Standish councilor can bid on land he donated to town
Walter Butler paid $350,000 for a rundown industrial building on 50 acres in 2014 and donated 22 acres to the town for soccer fields that were never built. He is being allowed to bid – at least $300,000 – to get the land back, but the town now says it likely will hold onto the land.
