Maine Red Claws point guard Tim Frazier is returning to the NBA.

The New Orleans Pelicans signed Frazier, the reigning D-League MVP who returned to the Red Claws last month after being waived by the Portland Trail Blazers, to a 10-day contract Wednesday.

Frazier averaged 15 points, 9.1 rebounds and 9.4 assists in the eight games he played with Maine, and was twice named D-League Player of the Week. The Red Claws won all seven games he started.
