n Dr. Lisa Keiski joined the staff at Bath Family Medicine, a Central Maine Medical Group practice.
She began her career at Massabesic Regional Medical Center in Waterboro, serving as an attending physician from 2005 to 2012. In 2007, she joined the University of New England’s College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, where she served as an attending physician and medical director until 2015.
n Gentiva Home Health in Sanford has hired Dr. Philip Abraham as its new medical director.
He has worked as a private practice internist since 2003. His practice is at 25A June St., Suite 111, in Sanford.
n Kim Morrison joined Health Affiliates Maine as a licensed master social worker.
She will work in the Lewiston-Auburn and Augusta areas providing therapy for young adults, couples and the immigrant-refugee population.
n Dr. Joseph Vitterito II joined The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center as neonatology division director and medical director of its neonatal intensive care unit.
Vitterito has been a member of the MMC Division of Neonatology for the past seven years.
n Dr. Robert Galler joined the surgical practice at Maine Spine Surgery at Mercy.
Galler comes to Mercy from the Stony Brook Medicines Department of Neurosurgery in Stony Brook, N.Y. He brings more than 15 years of experience in spine surgery.
n Spectrum Medical Group has hired Ann Robinson as chief legal counsel and director of government affairs.
Most recently, she was a partner at Preti Flaherty, where she served as chair of the firm’s government affairs practice group for over a decade. She was also a member of the firm’s management committee.
n Maine Medical Center named Dr. Isabella Stumpf as the division director for palliative medicine.
She serves as the director for palliative care at MaineHealth and has held a per diem faculty position at Massachusetts General Hospital since 2014. She currently serves as the chair of Maine Medical Center’s Clinical Ethics Committee.

n Dr. Mary Harkins Becker was named fellowship director of Maine Medical Center’s Palliative Medicine Division.
She first joined the hospital as an attending physician in emergency medicine, and later served as associate residency director in the emergency department. She has experience at the health systems level, serving as the director of cardiovascular health for MaineHealth.
BOARD APPOINTMENTS
n Maria-Ausilia Evans, a pharmacist at Franklin Memorial Hospital, was elected to the 11-member board of directors of the Maine Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
She is the Region 2 director representing Androscoggin, Franklin, Oxford and Sagadahoc counties. She has been a member of the nonprofit organization since 2009.
AWARDS and RECOGNITIONS
n Mount Desert Island Hospital was named to the 2015 Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Hospital Honor Roll.
Harvard Pilgrim reviewed hospital performance in four categories: cardiac care, health care associated infection, pneumonia care and surgical care improvement. The results measured the quality of these processes of care and included surveys evaluating patient experience.
