MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — Terry Rozier nearly finished with a triple-double, collecting 25 points, nine rebounds and eight assists to lead the Maine Red Claws to a 109-104 win against Raptors 905 in the Canadian team’s first-ever home game on Thursday night at the Hershey Centre.
Jordan Mickey added 21 points, 12 rebounds and six blocked shots for the Red Claws and Omari Johnson had 18 points and 11 boards.
Rozier, Mickey and James Young were all assigned to the Red Claws from the Boston Celtics on Thursday afternoon. Young scored 10 points and grabbed six rebounds.
Maine trailed by as many as 14 points in the first half before going on a 24-8 run between the second and third quarters to take a 61-59 lead.
Scott Suggs scored 20 points to pace the Raptors, who tied the game at 98 with 2:29 left in the fourth quarter.
The Red Claws took the lead for good on their next posession on a pull-up jumper by Rozier.
Maine had a franchise-record 109 field goal attempts.
