AWARDS and RECOGNITIONS
The redevelopment of an abandoned mill building in Sanford was recognized with a Phoenix Award celebrating outstanding execution in cleaning up a former brownfield site and transforming it into a significant community asset.
The redevelopment of Sanford Mill took seven years from start to finish, according to Josh Benthien, a partner at Northland Enterprises. The mill is a mixed-use development that includes residential units, office and retail space.

BOARD APPOINTMENTS
National Association of Women in Construction Maine Chapter 276 recently inducted a new board of officers and directors.
The board of officers include: Robin Wood, of Reed & Reed, who will serve as president; Heather Berlinski, of Kleinfelder, as vice president; Bethany Martin, of Reed & Reed, as treasurer; Mackenzie Kersbergen, of the Maine Department of Transportation, as recording secretary; and Lori Gile, of Auburn Concrete, as corresponding secretary.
The board of directors includes: Margo Walsh, of Maine Works; Rachel Theriault, of All States Asphalt Inc; Brooke Glidden, of Kleinfelder; and Kyla Magnusson, of Preferred Construction Management.
