NEW HIRES
Danielle Loring has been hired by the Morrison Center as its new executive director. Loring holds a master’s in social work from Columbia University and has directed intensive services and emergency department crisis services for Maine Behavioral Healthcare.
Zachary Smolkin has been hired as vice president, chief trust officer at Spinnaker Trust. Previously, Smolkin spent 13 years at the Boston law firm of Maselan & Jones, P.C. He has a law degree from Suffolk University Law School, a Master of Law in taxation from Boston University, and a master’s degree in corporate finance from Bentley College.
The Ogunquit Museum of American Art hired David Cunningham as its new director of advancement. Cunningham holds a bachelor’s degree in art history from The American University of Paris and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and sculpture from Parsons Paris. Leveraging over 25 years of experience in the fashion industry, Cunningham previously directed worldwide scouting and strategy at IMG Models.
APPOINTMENTS
Jeffrey Geiger has been elected to the Bath Savings board of trustees. Geiger holds degrees in naval architecture and marine engineering. Previously, he served on the boards of the Chocolate Church Performing Arts Center and United Way Mid Coast Maine.
Lois Skillings has been elected to the Bath Savings board of trustees. Previously, Skillings worked at Mid Coast-Parkview, as a registered nurse, then chief nursing officer, and finally as president/CEO. She has served on a number of boards, including United Way of Mid Coast Maine, Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority, USM Foundation and Medical Mutual Insurance Co. of Maine.
Four directors have joined Hope Acts board of directors. They are Bethany Smart, HopeGateWay administrative and program coordinator; Mary Pat Donnellon, a senior adviser for Susquehanna Growth Equity Partners; Elizabeth Jackson, executive director for Harvard University’s Institute for Quantitative Social Sciences; and Cadeau Assoumani, immigrant health promotion specialist at the Cumberland County Health Department. Hope Acts is a Portland nonprofit helping asylum seekers integrate into life in Maine.

Mindy Maheu, an employee at Allen Insurance and Financial since 2002, has been awarded the Safeco Insurance Award of Excellence. This is the fourth year Maheu has received this award. She also holds the certified insurance service representative and certified insurance counselor designations.
Jennifer Coffin, an employee at Allen Insurance and Financial since 2004, has been awarded the Safeco Insurance Award of Excellence. This is the third year Coffin has received this award. She holds the accredited customer service representative and certified personal risk manager designations.
