Maya Taylor and Delia Fravert staked Scarborough to a two-goal lead in the first half, Lana Djuranovic added a second-half goal, and the Red Storm extended their winning streak to six games with a 3-0 victory over Bonny Eagle in a Class A South girls’ soccer match Wednesday in Scarborough.
Sanibel Shinners and Emma Blanchette each were credited with an assist. Sophia Rinaldi made six saves for the defending state champions (9-1), who moved into first place in the Class A South Heal point standings.
Brynn Tilburg stopped 10 shots for Bonny Eagle (4-7).
CHEVERUS 7, BIDDEFORD 1: Sophia Monfa and Finley Brown each finished with a hat trick as the Stags (7-3-1) rolled past the Tigers (2-9) in Portland.
Ava Lamkin also scored a goal and Maddie Smith had an assist – the first varsity point for each. Annie Vigue contributed three assists.
WINDHAM 4, KENNEBUNK 1: Marley Jarvais scored twice as the Eagles (7-3) beat the Rams (1-7-1) in Kennebunk.
Stella Jarvais and Kyla Harvie were the other Windham scorers. Neve Ledbetter had an assist, and Ali Hidell made four saves.
Ava McCourt scored for Kennebunk, and Teagan Hanson recorded 11 saves.
SOUTH PORTLAND 3, DEERING 0: Nola Gorneau scored twice and Brooke Lawton added another, leading the Red Riots (5-3-2) over the Rams (2-7-1) in South Portland.
Amelia Burton-Fowler made six saves in the shutout.
Deering’s Sophie Hill had two saves.
THORNTON ACADEMY 8, WESTBROOK 0: Charlotte Belanger recorded a hat trick and Quincy Thibault collected two goals and three assists as the Trojans (7-2-1) rolled past the Blue Blazes (0-7-2) in Saco.
Allison Garland also scored twice, and Hailey Stoddard had a goal and four assists. Olivia Frederickson made two saves for the shutout.
Westbrook’s Ketsia Kabangu stopped 12 shots.
SANFORD 1, FALMOUTH 1: Hailey Tarbox scored for Sanford (6-2-1), and Margo Hesson got the lone goal for Falmouth (8-1-1) as the Spartans and Navigators settled for a draw in Falmouth.
TRAIP ACADEMY 0, SACOPEE VALLEY 0: Brianna Eastman made 11 saves for Sacopee Valley (0-8-1) and Lily Stuart turned aside four shots for Traip (2-6-2) as the Hawks and Rangers played to a scoreless draw in Hiram.
OLD ORCHARD BEACH 4, BUCKFIELD 1: Alaynah LeBlond scored to go-ahead goal early in the second half, then assisted on a pair of goals by Tessa Ferguson as the Seagulls (4-7) pulled away from the Bucks (7-3) in Buckfield.
Lea Alivizatos tied the game in the first half with her first career goal after Buckfield’s Cori Merrill opened the scoring.
Sarah Davis made eight saves for the Seagulls. Kianna Finnegan of Buckfield stopped six shots.
FIELD HOCKEY
FREEPORT 7, GREELY 0: Liza Flower scored three first-half goals, and the Falcons (7-3-1) rolled past the Rangers (4-6) in Freeport.
Anna Maschino also scored in the first half for Freeport, which snapped a three-game winless streak. Emily Groves added two second-half goals and Ellie Foss chipped in with one goal.
The Rangers got eight saves from Mya Vickerson.
CAPE ELIZABETH 2, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 0: Shyla McVeigh and Mia Frost scored and Zoe Burgard made seven saves as the Capers (7-3) blanked the Raiders (1-7-1) in Fryeburg.
Rayna Wales turned away 13 shots for Fryeburg.
SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 3, BOOTHBAY 1: Aubrey Kachnovich notched a goal and an assist to help pace the Phoenix (9-1) past the Seahawks (2-8) in Boothbay Harbor.
Kachnovich assisted on Olivia Mastine’s goal, and Anna Plourde provided the assist on Kachnovich’s goal. Brooklyn Fournier scored the other Spruce Mountain goal on a penalty stroke.
Kari Blake scored for Boothbay, assisted by Sara Kraft.
Cass Amaral made 16 saves for the Seahawks, and Spruce Mountain’s Mallory Clark stopped two shots.

TRAIP ACADEMY 7, SACOPEE VALLEY 0: Adrian Cunningham had a hat trick and Ivan Blanco scored twice, powering the Rangers (7-3) to a victory over the Hawks (0-9) in Kittery.
Brody Caine and Alec Webster each added a goal, and Aiden Disalvo notched two assists. Jack Downs made two saves for the shutout and was also credited with an assist.
LINCOLN ACADEMY 5, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Casey Duncan had a hat trick and Lucas Houghton had a goal and an assist, powering the Eagles (8-1-1) past the Patriots (4-5-1) in Newcastle.
Peter Thelander also scored. Marcello Endrizzi and Drew Hunt combined for eight saves in the shutout.
