The musical version of the 1982 hit comedy “Tootsie” premiered on Broadway in 2018, and now you can see it in Maine. This time around, Michael Dorsey is struggling to make it as a stage actor and decides to audition dressed as a woman, which lands him the role in “Juliet’s Nurse.” Now using the alter ego of Dorothy Michaels, assorted forms of hilarious but also thought-provoking chaos ensue as the show sets to open. It’s also worth noting that the role of Rita Marshall, the producer of “Juliet’s Nurse,” is played by none other than Sally Struthers.
