Laura Blake has been promoted to vice president, northeast regional market manager at Bangor Savings Bank. Blake joined the bank in 2015 as an assistant branch manager in Bangor. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Maine Orono and a master’s of business administration from Husson University.
Mike Yerxa has been promoted to vice president, senior relationship manager (Bangor and Augusta regions) at Bangor Savings Bank. Yerxa joined the bank in 2016. He holds a master’s of business administration from Husson University.
Jake Knight has been promoted to vice president, greater Bangor regional market manager at Bangor Savings Bank. Knight was initially hired in 2019 as a branch manager at the bank’s Bucksport branch. He previously worked in the auto industry as a finance and insurance manager. Knight is a graduate of the University of Maine where he majored in marketing.
Sundance Campbell has been promoted to resident manager at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. Previously, Campbell was a financial adviser and assistant vice president in the firm’s wealth management office out of Bangor.
NEW HIRES
Joseph Young, M.D., has been hired as an orthopedic surgeon at Northern Light Mercy Hospital. Young completed his undergraduate degree at Yale University, his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts, and his residency training at Albany Medical Center in New York. He then received advanced fellowship training in hip and knee replacement surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Young is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
Meghan Finn has been hired as vice president and chief communications officer at The Jackson Laboratory. Previously, Finn served as chief communications and engagement officer at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in New York. She completed her bachelor and master’s degrees at Iona University in New Rochelle, N.Y. Finn is a member of the Forbes Nonprofit Council and the President’s Council of Northwell Health Northern Westchester Hospital.
Julie Berry has been hired as vice president, chief information officer at General Dynamics Bath Iron Works. Berry worked for Steward Healthcare System LLC from 2011 to 2021, serving as chief technology officer and chief information officer. She has a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from Suffolk University in Boston. Berry is chair of the Massachusetts Health Data Consortium.
Jaime Fish Connell has been hired at ERA Dawson Bradford Co.’s agency in Rockland. She was voted Realtor of the Year in 2014 by her peers.
APPOINTMENTS
Kevin Crass has been appointed to the board of directors at Summit Utilities Inc. Crass is a partner in the Litigation Practice Group of Friday, Eldredge & Clark LLP. Previously, he served as the executive director of the transition team for Arkansas Gov. Sarah Sanders. Crass is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University and the University of Arkansas Little Rock School of Law.
Anna Klein-Christie, executive director at Baxter Academy for Technology & Science, has been appointed to the University of Southern Maine’s Board of Visitors.
Hugh Cowperthwaite, senior program director of fisheries and aquaculture at Coastal Enterprises Inc., was given a a three-year appointment on the Marine Fisheries Advisory Committee. Cowperthwaite has worked on the fisheries and aquaculture team at CEI since 2002. Recently, he spoke on the topic of technology transfer as a tool for economic development at the 10th annual World Congress of Ocean in Sapporo, Japan. He is a member of the Maine Technology Institute’s Aquaculture and Marine Technology Board, the Maine Fishermen’s Forum Board, and the Maine Sea Grant Policy Advisory Committee.

Gorrill Palmer Consulting Engineers announces three new part-owners of the South Portland-based company. Jared Winchenbach, Lauren Pasquali and Drew Gagnon are new shareholders. Additionally, Pasquali has been elected as treasurer and secretary on the company’s board of directors.
Misty Parker, assistant director of economic & community development for the city of Lewiston, has been awarded Avesta Housing’s Mission Champion Award.
