BELFAST – After an active, long life, highlighted by camping at Lake St. George in Liberty, farming in Granby, Conn., and attending NASCAR races in Tucson, Ariz., Barbara A. Cassidy, 97, of Liberty and Standish, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Born on June 2, 1926, in Belmont, Massachusetts, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Kenneth Vernon Cassidy.

Barbara is survived by their three sons and spouses: Vern and Mary of Liberty, Ken and Anne of Brunswick, and Helen and Wayne of Bradenton, Florida and Liberty, and numerous grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring at Lake St. George.
