Shay Rosenthal scored with 1:54 remaining to help Deering salvage a 2-2 tie against Noble in a Class A South girls’ soccer match Wednesday night at Fitzpatrick Stadium.

Rosenthal finished from close range following a pass from Elsa Freeman. Her goal came about five minutes after Lauren Jordan gave Noble (1-2-1) a 2-1 lead when her corner kick went directly into the net.

Anika Gin of Deering (1-2-1) scored the opening goal following a corner kick from Rosenthal. Noble’s Hannah Perro curled in a shot with 3:44 left before halftime.

Deering’s Sophie Hill and Noble’s Chloe Comtois each made four saves.

SANFORD 2, MARSHWOOD 1: Hailey Tarbox scored her second goal of the game off a corner kick midway through the second half, lifting the Spartans (3-0) over the Hawks (1-2) in Sanford.

Tarbox opened the scoring in the first half, assisted by Ailey Mann. Marshwood’s Lily Hammond tied it with an unassisted goal late in the first half.

Sanford keeper Sophie Olivo made seven saves. Lana Emery of Marshwood stopped three shots.

CHEVERUS 2, THORNTON ACADEMY 1: Rachel LaSalle and Annie Vigue scored as the Stags (2-1-1) built a 2-0 halftime lead and held off the Trojans (1-1) in Saco.

Charlotte Belanger scored for Thornton, and Ava Lomax stopped five shots. Cheverus keeper Evelyn Rush made seven saves.

BIDDEFORD 5, WESTBROOK 4: Abby Bouffard finished three goals and an assist as the Tigers (1-2) held off the Blue Blazes (0-2-1) in Biddeford.

Katie Dallaire got her first varsity goal and added two assists, Hannah Smith also scored, and Jackie Dallaire recorded an assist for Biddeford, which led 3-2 at halftime.

Ava Bolden led Westbrook with two goals. Kylie Young and Hattie Clark were the other goal scorers.

Sarah Parks stopped five shots for the Tigers, while Westbrook’s Jaydon McGowan made 10 saves.

PORTLAND 4, MASSABESIC 0: Anneliese Collin notched a hat trick and Phoebe Knoll had three assists as the Bulldogs (1-3) cruised past the Mustangs 0-3-1) in Portland.

Joz Fitzjurls also scored, and Kylie McCrum had an assist.

SCARBOROUGH 3, WINDHAM 1: Maggie Pendergast had two goals, Emma Lally added a goal and an assist, and the Red Storm (2-1) downed the Eagles (1-3) in Scarborough.

Red Storm goalie Jamila Mohamed made six saves.

Abigail Trainor scored and Olivia McPherson stopped 14 shots for Windham.

FALMOUTH 3, KENNEBUNK 0: Ani Bush, Taylor Lallemand and Elizabeth Brown scored as the Navigators (2-0) cruised past the Rams (1-3) in Falmouth.

Valerie Rand had two assists. Jenna Nunley and Adele Gamage shared goaltending duties for Falmouth, each with one save.

Madison Stevens made six saves for Kennebunk.

HALL-DALE 4, BOOTHBAY 0: Mira Skehan scored twice as the Bulldogs (2-1) defeated the Seagulls (0-3) in Farmingdale.

Delaney MacDonald and Hannah Rauch also scored, and MacDonald, Brooke Michaud and Torie Tibbetts each got an assist. Hall-Dale goalie Jade Graham made six saves.

LEWISTON 3, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 0: The Blue Devils (1-3) earned their first win of the season with a three-set victory over the Panthers (1-4) in Lewiston.

Lewiston won a close opening set, 25-21, then rolled in the next two sets, 25-11 and 25-12.

Tori Cox was 13 for 14 serving with six aces for Lewiston. She also had three kills, two digs and a solo block. Isabella Enos added eight aces and three kills, Nadifo Heban finished with seven kills, four aces, three digs and a solo block, and Ella Gahagan contributed eight assists.

Charlotte McLatchy accumulated four aces, three kills and three assists for NYA. Eleanor Zuiches had four assists, two digs and one kill, and Sasha Schutz had two kills and two aces.
