The dedication and celebration of Yarmouth’s public art installation “Over the Path” will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21.
The ceremony will be held on Main Street near the overpass. In case of inclement weather, it will be held Sept. 28.
Created by Pownal artist and sculptor John Bowdren, the bronze art installation depicts seven barn swallows and swifts in flight near the Blake Skating Pond. Completed in December last year, it is the third public art installment in town arranged by the Yarmouth Public Art Committee and its first commissioned piece.
