A climate and conservation speaker series will kick off next week in Scarborough.
On Tuesday, Sept. 12, Greg Bither of the Friends of Scarborough Marsh and Jami Fitch, the town’s sustainability coordinator, will discuss the importance of protecting local rivers and streams, the town’s efforts to do so and how residents can limit their own impact on waterways. The talk will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Scarborough Public Library.
The series is a collaboration between the Scarborough Conservation Commission, Scarborough Land Trust, library and the Friends of Scarborough Marsh. Future talks are scheduled for Oct. 5 and Nov. 2.
