In most books of quotations, this one appears: “More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of.” I can’t find the author.
Rather than honking one’s horn three times to indicate support for destroying NATO and abandoning Ukraine (“Dozens in Portland protest U.S. support of Ukraine war,” May 7), what might the same amount of thought and action accomplish if it were to be invested three times in a one-line prayer for the deliverance of Ukraine and the world from Vladimir Putin?
