Sylvia Rhodes joins Fontaine Family Real Estate Leader as an agent for their Scarborough office. She comes from Nashville, Tennessee, and now lives in Hollis with her family.
Rebecca Hatfield and JB Sullivan have been appointed to the John T. Gorman Foundation’s board of directors. Hatfield is president and CEO of Avesta Housing and serves on multiple boards, including Camden National Bank, Genesis Fund and Gulf of Maine Research Institute. Sullivan is principal and CEO of Portland Global Advisors and has been a member of Gorman Foundation’s investment committee since 2012.
Helio Medina was appointed to the board of directors for Hope Acts, a nonprofit that provides housing and other resources to asylum seekers. Medina is the head of human resources for Catholic Charities Maine and has worked as a translator, fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, for the State of Maine Judicial Branch.
Giving back
Town and Country Federal Credit Union made a $1,000 contribution in a new partnership with and on behalf of the House of Languages to the Greater Portland Immigrant Welcome Center. Translation services for more than 30 languages are offered on-demand over the phone at all TCFCU branches, with in-person options for other services by appointment.
