Landen Johnson reached the 1,000-point milestone by scoring 19 points, including 15 in the second half, as Old Orchard Beach pulled away for a 69-58 win at home against Waynflete in a Class C South boys’ basketball game Saturday afternoon.

Johnson entered the game needing exactly 19 points for 1,000.

Ricky Delisle made five 3-pointers for 15 points, Brady Croteau scored 14 and Shilo Thao had 10 for OOB (10-1).

Nico Kirby led Waynflete (5-5) with 16 points. Matt Adey and Connor Ford each had 15.

GREELY 57, CAPE ELIZABETH 40: Tyler Pettengill scored all 13 of his points in the second half and Seamus Raftice finished with 15 as the Rangers (5-5) beat the Capers (4-5) in Cumberland.

Kade Ippolito and Jackson Leding each added nine points for Greely, which outscored Cape 31-12 in the second half.

Sam Lombardo led the Capers with 17 points.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 53, LAKE REGION 47: Camden Johnson led the Raiders (5-5) with 15 points as they rallied for a win over the Lakers (3-7) in Naples.

Joao Teixeira Orlando chipped in with 12 points for Fryeburg, which trailed 35-32 entering the fourth quarter.

Brock Gibbons scored 11 points and Jackson Libby added 10 for Lake Region.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

GARDINER 53, MT. ARARAT 35: Lizzy Gruber eclipsed the 1,000-point mark for her career, finishing with 21 points and 14 rebounds as the Tigers (10-0) won a matchup of Class A contenders.

Gruber, four points shy of 1,000 entering the game, reached the milestone mark on a pick-and-roll layup off a pass from Taylor Takatsu less than two minutes in.

Megan Gallagher added 13 points for Gardiner, the No. 1 team in the Class A North Heal point standings.

Mt. Ararat (8-2) was ranked No. 2 in Class A South.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 50, WAYNFLETE 11: Elise MacNair scored 20 of her 23 points in the first half as the Seagulls (10-1) built a 35-0 halftime lead against the Flyers (2-8) in Old Orchard Beach.

Sarah Davis contributed three 3-pointers for nine points.

SCARBOROUGH 47, SOUTH PORTLAND 30: Caroline Hartley scored 14 of her 21 points in the second quarter, helping the Red Storm (4-6) take control in a win over the Red Riots (5-6) at South Portland.

Ellie Rumelhart and Emerson Flaker each chipped in with nine points for Scarborough, which outscored the Red Riots 19-9 in the second quarter for a 29-19 lead.

Anna Brown and Destiny Peter each scored nine points for South Portland.

GREELY 44, CAPE ELIZABETH 29: Sophia Ippolito sank five 3-pointers and finished with 16 points, leading the Rangers (6-4) past the Capers (2-7) in Cape Elizabeth.

Asja Kelman chipped in 11 points for Greely, which outscored the Capers 24-7 over the middle two quarters.

Grace Callahan had eight points for Cape Elizabeth.

LAKE REGION 61, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 39: Ava Smith scored 17 points, and Melissa Mayo got 13 of her 16 points in the middle two quarters as the Lakers (8-2) pulled away from the Raiders (2-8) in Naples.

Fryeburg led 14-13 after one quarter, but Lake Region outscored the Raiders 15-7 in the second and 16-2 in the third.

Fryeburg’s Jilyan Byrne scored 10 points.

GIRLS’ HOCKEY

CAPE ELIZABETH 2, YORK 1: Marina Bassett’s goal 4:26 into overtime gave Cape Elizabeth/Waynflete/South Portland a win over York/Traip/Marshwood/Noble at Troubh Ice Arena.

Cape led 1-0 after one period on a goal by Delaney Whitten. Margaret Hanlon tied it in the third period.

GORHAM 3, BIDDEFORD 1: Emerson Homa had two goals and an assist to lead Gorham/Bonny Eagle/Massabesic/Fryeburg/Lake Region/Westbrook (7-4) over Biddeford/Thornton/Wells/Sanford (3-7-1) in Gorham.

Homa broke a 1-1 tie following an assist from Carlin Galligan at 9:52 of the second, and got the final goal from Natalie Wilkins with 1:01 left in the period.

Wilkins scored in the first period before Jordan Dube tied it with an assist from Cece Keller with 55 seconds left in the first.

Ellie Keil stopped 10 shots for the win, while Mariah Villandry made 18 saves for the Tigers.

BOYS’ HOCKEY

GORHAM 5, GREELY 3: Emitt Sullivan scored the tying and go-ahead goals in the second period and Andrew Gaudreau notched a hat trick as the Rams (4-5) edged the Rangers (1-6) in Falmouth.

Charlie Moore, Teddy Conway and Cullen Rafford scored for Greely.
