YORK – Suzanne M. Conlon passed away peacefully at home on August 24, 2022 after a period of failing health. She was born Oct. 29, 1943, and raised in Lowell, Mass. by loving parents, George and Margaret Wihry.

She graduated Emmanuel College, Boston, Mass., in 1965. Shortly after graduating, she met her future husband Michael E. Conlon and they were married in Lowell, Mass. on Sept. 2, 1967.

Suzanne supported her husband, a career Air Force officer, through many moves in the US and overseas. She was also known as “Madame” Conlon over a 23 year career teaching French at York Middle School. Suzanne was an elegant lady, blessed with a group of loyal, loving friends

Suzanne was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband Michael E.; sons Michael C. and Sean, their partners Elizabeth and Stephanie; a grandson, Thomas; cousin Kathy Brosnan Dixon and husband Bill of Duxbury, Mass.; and other relatives and friends.

Suzanne added a bright ray of light to the world and will be missed by all who knew her.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30 in the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Rd., York, Maine.
