Laura Perreault’s RBI single capped a three-run rally in the bottom of the sixth inning as second-seeded Biddeford escaped with a 5-4 victory over third-seeded Kennebunk in a Class A South softball semifinal Saturday in Biddeford.

Perreault finished with three hits, and Chantelle Bouchard and Alexis Libby each had two hits for the defending regional champion Tigers (16-2), who will play top-seeded Windham at 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph’s College.

Isabella Real and Emily Hutchins had two hits apiece for Kennebunk (15-3).

YORK 11, CAPE ELIZABETH 1: The top-seeded Wildcats (18-1) broke open a close game with nine runs in the fourth inning as they eliminated the fifth-seeded Capers (13-6) in a Class B South semifinal at York.

Jill Carr highlighted York’s big inning with a two-run double. Alexis Osterhaus and McKayla Kortes each had two hits and two RBI as the Wildcats advanced to play No. 2 Gardiner in the regional final Tuesday night at the University of Southern Maine.

Hannah Mosher had two hits, including a double, for Cape Elizabeth, the defending state champion.

GARDINER 6, POLAND 2: Corinne Vasvary sparked a two-run first inning, then added an RBI double in the second as the second-seeded Tigers (17-2) built an early 4-0 lead and advanced to the Class B South final with a win over the No. 3 Knights (17-2) in Gardiner.

Madison Inman added a single and a double and was drive home twice by winning pitcher Lainey Cooley.

Poland got its runs in the fourth inning on singles by Emma Bunyea and Atlantis Martin, an RBI groundout by Maggie McGlauflin and a single by Gabby Bolduc.

LACROSSE

FALMOUTH 12, WINDHAM 7: The second-seeded Navigators (11-3) scored the game’s first six goals and went on to defeat the No. 3 Eagles (8-6) in a Class A North semifinal in Falmouth.

Windham got as close as 6-4 late in the first half before Adelaide Tolley and Peaches Stucker answered for a four-goal advantage at halftime.

Falmouth then put it away in the second half, as Kinsey Barry led the way with three goals. Stucker, Tolley and Whitney Adams each added two goals.

Windham got four goals from Isabelle Babb as it was eliminated from the playoffs by Falmouth for the fourth straight time.

YARMOUTH 20, CHEVERUS 10: Katelyn D’Appolonia scored a career-high 10 goals to help the top-seeded Clippers pull away from the fifth-seeded Stags (9-5) in a Class A North semifinal in Yarmouth.

Yarmouth will host No. 2 Falmouth in the regional final Wednesday.

D’Appolonia scored the game’s first two goals and had four in the first half to help Yarmouth open an 8-4 lead.

Riley O’Mara (three goals and two assists) started the second half with a goal for Cheverus, but the Clippers went on a 7-1 run to put it away.

Aine Powers added five goals for Yarmouth, while Lauren Keaney and Neena Panozzo each added two.

Cheverus got two goals apiece from Lucy Johnson and Reese Belanger.

MASSABESIC 12, SCARBOROUGH 6: Emily Jacobs netted six goals while Brianna Stephenson had five, helping the second-seeded Mustangs (13-1) beat the sixth-seeded Red Storm (8-7) in a Class A South semifinal in Waterboro.

BRUNSWICK 8, MESSALONSKEE 5: Elizabeth Putnam scored four goals in the first half and Maddie Barnhorst made 12 saves as the ninth-seeded Dragons (7-7) knocked off the top-seeded Eagles (10-3) in a Class B quarterfinal at Oakland.

Barnhorst and the Dragons held Messalonskee to one goal in the second half as they protected a narrow lead. Kelsie Carlton finished with three goals for Brunswick, which moves on to play No. 4 York in the semifinals.

YORK 16, MT. ARARAT 5: Rose Pavuk notched five goals and two assists, leading the fourth-seeded Wildcats (9-4) to a Class B quarterfinal win over the fifth-seeded Eagles (8-5) in York.

Grace Clayton, Cary Drake, Clara Pavuk and Lindsey Zinkevicz each added two goals.

GREELY 23, MT. BLUE 0: Asja Kelman netted four goals while Jenny Medrano, Allie Read and Charlotte Taylor each had three goals and three assists to power the second-seed Rangers (12-2) past the 10th-seed Cougars (9-5) in a Class B quarterfinal in Cumberland.

Eva Williams added three goals and two assists, and Lauren Dennen tallied two goals and two assists. Cady Hatch also scored twice.

Greely hosts third-seeded Cony in the semifinals at 1:00 p.m Wednesday.

Michelle Seaberg made 10 saves for Mt. Blue.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 8, WAYNFLETE 6: Emma Sharp’s goal with just over 20 minutes to play broke a tie and led the third-seeded Panthers (9-5) to a Class C quarterfinal win over the No. 6 Flyers (7-7) in Yarmouth.

Maggie Holt wound up with three goals and three assists, Vy Tran also scored three times and Sharp added two goals.

Waynflete took a quick 2-0 lead on goals from Lolie Millspaugh and Lydia Birknes, but NYA rallied to lead 5-4 at halftime.

Birknes, Millspaugh and Tilsley Kelly each scored twice for Waynflete.
