Biddeford police are crediting a resident of an apartment building at Oak Place with aiding them in the arrest of a Biddeford man who tried to run from the building when officers arrived Monday morning.
Police said they arrested Paul Desrosiers, 26, and charged him with burglary after he tried to flee with property he allegedly stole from a second-floor apartment around 11:30 a m.
According to a press release on the police department’s Facebook page, a resident heard suspicious noises and footsteps coming from a second-floor apartment that was supposed to be unoccupied. When confronted by the officers, Desrosiers tried to run away. Police said he “was quickly caught and arrested by the responding officers.”
Desrosiers was taken to the York County Jail in Alfred.
