Kendall Carr, York, senior defenseman: A standout who often carried the Wildcats, Carr scored 11 goals and added 19 assists in leading York to the No. 3 seed in the West.

Camden Carrier, Falmouth, junior forward: A natural scorer with a quick shot, Carrier led the Yachtsmen to the West championship, recording 19 goals and 16 assists.

Lauren DeBlois, Lewiston, freshman defenseman: DeBlois had an impressive rookie season. She was a shut-down defender with powerful shot, recording 23 goals and 17 assists.

Paige Fontaine, Lewiston, senior goalie: In close games, Fontaine made the difference. She recorded an 0.87 goals-against average and stood out with 10 shutouts.

Allison Frechette, Lewiston, sophomore forward: Frechette could explode, as when she scored four goals in the state title game. She totaled 24 goals and eight assists.

Erica Lemieux, Lewiston, senior forward: A creative playmaker and strong defensive forward, Lemieux was a pesky forechecker. She scored 16 goals and added 14 assists.

Danica Nadeau, Edward Little/Leavitt/Poland, senior defenseman: Nadeau led the Red Hornets to the East championship game. She had six goals and eight assists.

Michelle Robichaud, Yarmouth/Freeport/Gray-New Gloucester, senior defenseman: Robichaud sparked the Clippers to another winning season with 11 goals and 14 assists.

Savannah Shaw, Edward Little/Leavitt/Poland sophomore, goalie: Shaw made the Red Hornets a top contender with a 0.97 goals-against average and four shutouts.

Sami Shoebottom, Scarborough, sophomore forward: Defenses focused on Shoebottom, but rarely were able to shut her down. She led the state in scoring with 46 goals and 15 assists.

Danita Storey, Greely, junior forward: Storey was a dangerous player on the ice, drawing attention whenever she had the puck. She had 33 goals and 17 assists.

Courtney Sullivan, Greely, freshman forward: Sullivan quickly established herself as a scoring threat with 20 goals and 20 assists.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Ron Dumont, Lewiston: After coaching the Blue Devils to the first girls’ state championship in 2009, Dumont got his second title this year. His program is a consistent winner with four trips to the state championship game.
