FRYEBURG — Myles Garland’s goal with less than a minute remaining gave Fryeburg an 8-7 win over Oxford Hills Wednesday in boys’ lacrosse.
Will Galligan led Fryeburg (3-2) with three goals. Rowan Hikel, Patrick Drosa, Haden Fox and Gabe McKenny also scored.
Oxford Hills (1-2) got two goals apiece from Jake Mondor and Alden Timm, and one each from Grey Vanderwood, Derrick Brooks and Nick Bancroft.
NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 17, MT. ARARAT 4: Chas Rhodes scored four goals as the Panthers (4-1) beat the Eagles (0-4) at Yarmouth.
Chris Hamblett and Braden Warde each had a hat trick for NYA. Mason Bull and James Tourigny scored two goals a piece, with Caleb Waterman adding a goal and three assists.
Kaiden Getchell and Eli Schoenberg scored for Mt. Ararat.
GREELY 14, FREEPORT 4: Shawn Downing’s four goals pushed the Rangers (1-2) to a win against the Falcons (0-3) at Cumberland.
DJ Kinney put up three goals for Greely. Nick Fallon had two. Goalie Spencer Osgood made eight saves.
GIRLS’ LACROSSE
BIDDEFORD 15, THORNTON ACADEMY 4: Abby Allen scored seven goals to lift the Tigers (3-2) over the Trojans (2-2) at Saco.
Valentina Laflamme added four more goals for Biddeford. Cece Keller had three and Kylie Parent scored once.
Morgan Bolduc led TA with two goals. Hazel Stoddard and Grace Veroneau had one goal a piece.
NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 10, MT. ARARAT 5: Vy Tran scored three goals and Ally White made 15 saves to lead the Panthers (3-1) past the Eagles (1-2) at Topsham.
Camilla Lattanzi, Alev Yilmaz and Lily Weinrich contributed two goals apiece.
Maddie Daulerio scored three goals and Maddi Kinney added two for Mt. Ararat.
YARMOUTH 13, GREELY 6: Katelyn D’Appolonia paced a balanced attack with four goals as the Clippers (3-1) topped the Rangers (2-2) in its first home in nearly two years.
The Clippers never trailed and took a 9-3 halftime lead as Anna Thornton won 11 of 12 draw controls.
Yarmouth got three goals apiece from Aine Powers and Annie Lowenstein and a pair from Thornton, who also finished with an assist. Goalie Juliet Meas stopped nine shots.
The Rangers got two goals from Elsa Dean-Muncie and five saves from freshman goalie Whitney Bond.
