FORT WAYNE, Indiana — Tim Frazier drew a foul with 0.4 seconds left and made a free throw to lift the Maine Red Claws to an 81-80 win over the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in an NBA D-League game Sunday evening.
With the game tied at 80, Frazier raced down the floor and was fouled. He made the first and missed the second to give the Red Claws (2-0) the lead.
Dwight Powell and James Young, who were both sent down to Maine from the Celtics on Saturday, had 21 points each. Powell grabbed 17 rebounds as well.
There were 14 lead changes in the game and it was tied 16 different times.
In the final minutes, Christian Watford hit a 3-pointer to put the Red Claws up. Those were the only points of the game for Watford.
Chris Babb added 15 points for the Red Claws, while Tim Frazier had 13 points and nine rebounds.
Andre Emmett led the Mad Ants (0-2) with 22 points. Myck Kabongo added 15 points, Ramon Harris chipped in 14 and CJ Fair had 10.
Maine returns to action when it plays its home opener Friday night against the Canton Charge.
