BIDDEFORD — Erin Bibber scored twice Wednesday to lead top-seeded University of New England to a 4-1 victory against fourth-seeded Salve Regina in a Commonwealth Coast Conference field hockey semifinal.
The Nor’easters (15-6) will be home against third-seeded Endicott in the final at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Bibber redirected a shot by Vonde Saunders in the 14th minute for a 2-0 lead, then got the final goal on a high shot in the 63rd.
Nicole Matarozzo and Olivia Madore also scored for the Nor’easters.
Alexandria Rizzo converted a penalty stroke for Salve Regina (13-7).
Holly Smith made five saves for UNE.
ANNA MARIA 1, ST. JOSEPH’S 0: Kylie Dalbec of Portland scored in the second half for the fourth-seeded Amcats (13-8) against the top-seeded Monks (14-3) in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference semifinal at Standish.
Dalbec got her GNAC-leading 21st goal after a scramble. Nichole Lowe assisted on the winning play.
About 10 minutes before the goal, St. Joseph’s appeared to score on a shot by Theresa Hendrix, but it was overturned by officials due to a dangerous ball infraction.
The Monks outshot the Amcats 11-2 and held a 19-3 advantage on penalty corners.
Emma Astbury made one save for the Monks. Mary Kate Breen stopped eight shots for Anna Maria.
WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL
BATES: Coach Margo Jones resigned effective at the end of this month.
The Bobcats were 27-51 in four seasons, including 9-16 this season, under her direction.
Jones said she plans to join her husband in Boston and will pursue other coaching opportunities.

LOUISIANA STATE: Guard Danielle Ballard was suspended indefinitely from game competition for an undisclosed violation of team rules.
TENNESSEE: Four players were suspended for academic reasons. Guards Ariel Massengale and Andraya Carter will miss one game, and forward Cierra Burdick and guard Jannah Tucker will miss two.
