Regarding the upcoming gubernatorial election here in Maine, I just would like to appeal to the many frustrated and disgruntled independent and moderate Republican voters in our state.

No matter how unappealing Democrat Mike Michaud might be, a vote for independent Eliot Cutler is the same as pulling the lever for Republican Gov. Paul LePage, who, I assure you, if re-elected will send Maine even further backward and downward.

Call it being pragmatic, but voting for Michaud is a heck of a lot better than putting LePage back in the driver’s seat. Vote smart; vote Michaud!
