SOUTH HIRAM — Abbie Ouellette had two goals and two assists Wednesday to lead Sacopee Valley to a 6-0 victory against Traip Academy in a Western Maine Conference field hockey opener.
Haiden Sawyer, Lizzie Ouellette, Abby Mosson and Lynne Hebert added goals, and Chloe Ronco had seven saves for Sacopee.
Taylor Kashmer made 14 saves for Traip.
FALMOUTH 6, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 1: Kate Kelley had two goals and an assist to lead the Yachtsmen in an opener at Falmouth.
Elle Fitzgerald opened the scoring after 10 minutes, Kelley set up Blair Lindberg with 7:43 left in the half, then scored two unassisted goals in the final six minutes.
Kaeunjoo Kim and Fitzgerald added second-half goals for Falmouth. Allison Watson answered from Bridget Tweedie with 1:46 left.
LAKE REGION 3, GREELY 2: Liz Cole scored with 16 minutes left for Lake Region in an opener at Naples.
Abby Scott-Mitchell had a goal and two assists for the Lakers. Scott-Mitchell set up Bridget Letarte for a first-half goal, then scored in the second.
Kayla Berry scored in the first half and Lucy Wetzel in the second for Greely.
SKOWHEGAN 6, HAMPDEN ACADEMY 0: The Indians outshot the Broncos 35-1 to win an opener at Skowhegan.
Cassidy Clement had two goals and two assists, and Renee Wright added two goals and an assist.
Brooke Michonski added one goal and one assist, Lauren LeBlanc scored once and Julia Steeves chipped in with three assists.
CONY 9, MT. ARARATÂ 0: Lindsay Watts and Cari Hopkins scored three goals each in an opener at Topsham.
Molly Silsby added two goals and Arika Brochu also scored. Madeline Lewis made one save for the shutout.
MESSALONSKEE 7, BANGOR 0: Emily Hogan had three goals and an assist to lead the Eagles in an opener at Bangor.
Lydia Dexter scored twice and Ally Turner also had a goal.
Chalbi French made seven stops for Messalonskee. Rachel Lux finished with 18 saves for the Rams.
TELSTAR 2, HALL-DALE 1: Hayley Peterson and Sadie Ellsworth scored to lead the Rebels in an opener at Bethel.
Octavia Morin and Anna Cushman had an assist apiece for Telstar.
Nicole Pelletier scored from Morgan Levasseur and Molly French stopped 34 shots for Hall-Dale.
OAK HILL 8, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 1: Hayley Marshall had two goals and three assists as Oak Hill won an opener at Litchfield.
Kylee Veilleux and Erika Hannigan each added a pair of goals for Oak Hill.
Sadie Goulet chipped in with a goal and two assists, and Abby Asselin had one goal.
Chelsea Allison scored for Mountain Valley, and Megan Labbe and Abby Fuller combined to make five saves for Oak Hill.
