BATH — The Midcoast Commerce Connection recently announced the election of two new officers, John Leonard as incoming president and David Hills as vice president.

Leonard is an investment planner with Northeast Planning Associates in Bath.

Hills teaches martial arts and fitness at Five Elements Mountain School of Martial Arts in Bath, a school devoted to the idea that empowering individuals through martial arts training and fitness strengthens their community.

The outgoing officers are Margaret Helmuth with Send Out Cards and Diane Holden, a sales director with Mary Kay.

Michael Wayashe, a certified public accountant, will continue to serve as treasurer and Alison Lee Freeman of Sparloft Arts will continue as secretary.

MCC exists for the purpose of helping each member business grow through the referral process. Meetings begin at 7a.m. with networking and conclude by 8:30 a.m. every Tuesday at Mae’s Café in Bath. Guests and potential new members are invited to attend any meeting. As a service to both members and the public, MCC offers business training seminars on the last Tuesday morning of each month.
