New hotel in Bath

The Residence Inn by Marriott in Bath opened in early December at 139 Richardson St. The 86-suite Residence Inn Bath Brunswick will operate as a Marriott franchise, which is owned by Bathres LLC and managed by Ocean Properties, Ltd. of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Formerly the location of a Holiday Inn and Bath Shipyard Inn, the hotel is minutes from the downtown area, including local attractions like Maine Maritime Museum and Bath Iron Works. Amenities include a business library where guests can fax, copy and print materials, as well as 980 square feet of meeting space, an indoor swimming pool and a fitness center. It is also pet-friendly. The hotel recently held its grand opening ceremony.
