BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Shambhala Meditation Center will host an open house on March 7 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at 19 Mason St.
March 7 is celebrated as “ Milarepa Day” in the Shambhala Buddhist calendar. “The great Tibetan yogisaint, Milarepa, gave a famous teaching on the nature of mind to a shepherd boy who came to Milarepa’s meditation cave,” explains a news release from the center. “The open house discussion will focus on this story, how it can offer a compelling reason for meditation practice and help seekers discover for ourselves what is the nature of one’s mind. The evening will include meditation instruction, discussion and light refreshments.”
