When Sandy was young, her family moved to Arizona, where she later met her husband of 43 years, Ronald Raymond Schrader and married him six months later on the 29th day of August, 1969. Her husband joined the Navy and they moved to Jacksonville, FL and raised a family. They were later stationed in Topsham, ME.
Sandy worked at Arrow Heart for 18 years, where she made many lifelong friends, retiring in 2002.
Sandy was a loving grandmother who spent much of her time with her grandchildren, one who recently resides with her. She enjoyed shopping with friends, baking, crafting, working in her garden, and traveling with her husband. She loved spending time with her family and was known for accepting people as they are. She will be loved and missed dearly by her family, friends and nieces and nephews, and remembered for her silly, joyful laugh.
Besides her husband Ronald, she is survived by her sons Dustin James, Blaine Raymond and Delane Roy Schrader, grandchildren Samantha Dee Schrader, Michael John Truden, and Jillian June Truden, sisters Vicki Wheeler of Kewana, Indiana, Karen Smith of Lakeside, AZ, and brother Jess Sutton of Kewana, Indiana.
