BRUNSWICK — In addition to unanimously approving exceptions to a town-wide ban on outdoor wood boilers and approving the town’s application for a road repair grant that Town Manager Gary Brown said would allow the town to offset the school department’s $3 million budget gap by $350,000, the Town Council conducted the following business Monday:

— Unanimously approved acceptance of a $3,000 anonymous donation from a local charitable organization toward purchase of a new rescue boat.

— Unanimously approved the town’s application, on behalf of the Brunswick Police Department, for a grant from the Maine Municipal Association to fund a portion of the purchase of 245 traffic cones at a total cost of $2,996.

— Unanimously approved a liquor license for Jimbo’s Catering, doing business as 1898 Bar & Grill, James Gallant, 165 River Road.

— Unanimously approved changes to the town’s zoning ordinance to permit warehousing and storage uses in the town’s Industry 1 and Mixed Use 5 zoning districts.

— Unanimously approved amendments to the Municipal Code of Ordinances, Chapter 5 Buildings and Building Regulations, to update building permit language and fees regarding mobile homes and open-air, unheated structures.

— Set an April 9 public hearing on zoning ordinance amendments proposed for property at 10 Mason St., changing it from a residential district to a commercially zoned district.

— Approved a Sellers of Prepared Food on Public Ways license for the food cart, Little Red Wagon.

— Unanimously approved a resolution in support of the Brunswick Downtown Association’s application for Main Street Maine Designation.

— Unanimously approved the minutes for a March 5 meeting and quit-claim deeds for properties described as Map 001 Lot 035 Sub 000 Typ 000 and s Map U06 Lot 044 Sub 000 Typ 000.
