BRUNSWICK — A free screening of “Holiday,” a 1938 screwball comedy starring Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn, is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. today in the Morrell Meeting Room at Curtis Memorial Library, 23 Pleasant St.

Directed by George Cukor, the film centers on the romance that develops between Grant’s and Hepburn’s characters as they seek to discover the true meaning of life. It satirizes high society, family dynamics and false expectations.

Refreshments, including mocktails, will be served.

The final film in the library’s “Classic Screwball Comedies” series, “The Lady Eve,” will be shown at 7:30 p.m. March 30.
