BATH — The Cosmopolitan Club of Bath announces the Return of the May Breakfast, to be served on Saturday, May 17, 7-10am at 894 Washington Street. Originally started in 1934, the May Breakfast was a very popular community event in Bath and a significant fundraiser for the women’s club. After declining lack of attendance and minimal return on investment in the late 1990’s, the clubwomen decided to discontinue the event in 2000. The clubwomen of 2014 have decided to bring it back.
The May Breakfast will include eggs, potatoes, waffles, bacon, sausage, baked breads, blueberry muffins, biscuits, jellies and jams, among other delights. The Great Room of the clubhouse will serve guests family-style with club members cooking in the kitchen, replenishing a buffet bar, attending the waffle island, and pouring juices, coffee, and tea. At the door, tickets will be $8 for adults and $5 for children 4-12 years old.
