She was born in Westbrook, the daughter of Donat and Evangeline LeBlanc Richard.
She was employed at Dana Warp Mill & S.D. Warren Co. She was an active member of the DAV Auxiliary and held an officer position for many years. Her hobbies included games, crafts, reading, and traveling. She was also an accomplished quilter. She loved life, laughter, and everyone she knew.
She wintered in Bokeelia, FL since 1986 and was a member of the Christ at Pine Island Community Church. She was blessed to have a special second family in Florida of Audrey, Elida, Peggy, and many friends. She was so grateful for their support and love they have shown throughout the years.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Rita, Venita, and Dorila; & four brothers, Arthur, Robert, Rene, & Roger.
She is survived by her husband of 57 yrs, Joseph W. LeBlanc; a son, Robert and partner John Gabriel Chasse of Westbrook; three daughters, Denise & husband Gary Francoeur of NH; Louise & husband Brian Thibeault of Brunswick; Tina & partner Denise Tanguay of Windham; a grandson, Andre’ Davis and wife Candace, and four great- grandchildren; two sisters, Jeannette Swett & Yvonne Spizuoco; two brothers, Alfred & Ovide; numerous cousins; nephews; nieces; and friends.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, from 4 until the start of the Funeral Services at 5:30 p.m. at the Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook.
