The Maine Winery Guild will be sponsoring Open Winery Day to celebrate Maine wineries. On Saturday June 7, 2014, from 11a.m. to 4 p.m. participating Maine wineries will have special offers in their tasting rooms including complimentary tastings, tours and special events. Previously held in September, Guild members decided to change the day to early June as a way of kicking off the winery season as well as to encourage the local community to get out and visit wineries before the tourist season goes into full swing.
