BRUNSWICK — Robert G. Snider, 70, resident of Candy Lane in Brunswick died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Mid Coast Hospital following a long illness.

He was born May 20, 1941 in Brooklyn, NY a son of George R. and Elizabeth (Leith) Snider. He attended schools in Brooklyn.

Mr. Snider served in the United States Marine Corps for several years being discharged in 1962.

He worked for many years as a sales route delivery driver for various companies including, Humpty Dumpty Potato Chips, Archway Cookies and had also delivered on a milk route and a bread route. Robert also was a motor route carrier for the Brunswick Times Record for several years.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Margaret (Schennen) Snider of Brunswick, a daughter Elizabeth Snider of Uxbridge, MA; two step sons, George Skog of Florida and Tom Skog of Maine; two step daughters, Paula and Kristina Skog both of Providence, RI; a brother, James Snider of New York; three sisters, Dottie Connors of Staten Island, NY, Janet Carroll of Florida and Madelyn O’Neil of New Jersey and six grandchildren.

Services will be private. Should friends and family desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Coastal Humane Society, 30 Range Road, Brunswick, ME 04011. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Brackett Funeral Home, Brunswick.
