The exhibit, which features children’s book illustrations by artists with Maine connections, runs through Aug. 3.

THIS ILLUSTRATION by Olga Pastuchiv appears in “Riparia’s River,” a children’s book by Michael J. Carduto. The image numbers among Maine artists’ works that make up an exhibit of children’s book illustrations at the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College.
Second in a series of three exhibitions of work by Maine artists who have illustrated children’s books, “A World of Wonders” features original paintings, drawings and collages.
Topics include marine life, insect ecology, plant and animal habitat, geology, science history and river ecology.
Participating artists include Mimi Carpenter of Cape Porpoise; Cathryn Falwell of Gorham; Kevin Hawkes of Gorham; Jamie Hogan of Peaks Island; Rebecca Haley McCall of Blue Hill; Joline McFadden of Lewiston; Gustav Moore of Seattle, formerly of Whitefield; Olga Pastuchiv of Richmond; Rebekah Raye of Blue Hill; Jim Sollers of Rockland; and Helen Stevens of Gardiner.
The Atrium Art Gallery, 51 Westminster St., is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday.
