SCITUATE, MA — Michael L. Fournier, 61, of 81 Oceanside Drive, died Wednesday, July 11, 2012, while camping in Damariscotta, Maine.

He was born in Brunswick, March 4, 1951, the son of John P. and Lucille St. Pierre Fournier. He graduated Brunswick High School in 1969 and from Northeastern University, Boston with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

He married Jane Marquis in Scituate, Dec. 31, 2001.

Mr. Fournier was employed as an engineer with Vanderweil Engineering in Boston for 17 years and was currently a Principle at Flack & Kurtz Engineering in Boston.

Mr. Fournier was an avid tennis player and a member of the Boston Athletic Club for 30 years.

He was predeceased by two brothers, David Fournier and William Paschke.

He is survived by his wife of Scituate; his mother of Brunswick; three daughters, Tammy Higgins of Weymouth,

MA., Nikole Fournier of Winthrop, MA., Trinity Lewis of Scituate; a son, James Taylor of Quincy, MA.; a foster sister, Doris Leclerc and her husband, Maurice of Bear Pond, ME; a brother, Eric Fournier and his wife, Wallis of Columbia, MD and five grandchildren, Madeline Sherman, Shayne Higgins, Brenden Higgins, Ryan Higgins, and Marley Demaio.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 17th at St. John the Baptist Church, Pleasant Street, Brunswick. Friends are invited to visit from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal Street, Brunswick. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Brunswick.
