WORK IS ONGOING at the future home of the All Saints Parish Multipurpose Facility in Brunswick, which is expected to be open in early 2019.
With construction underway on the new All Saints Parish multi-purpose facility in Brunswick, excitement continues to grow as a dream draws closer to becoming a reality.
The new multipurpose facility will be approximately 15,000 square feet and will include a large open space that will serve as an auditorium, gymnasium and cafeteria. The facility will also include a kitchen, a stage, a music room, a meeting room, an adoration chapel and other amenities.
Work is on track for the new facility to be open in early 2019.
“The need for a facility like this extends beyond St. John the Baptist Church and St. John’s Catholic School, which are located on the same campus as the new facility,” said Jim Baskerville, general chair of the steering committee overseeing the “Founded on Faith, Building the Future” capital campaign. “In addition to parishioners, donations have come in from the wider community. Other organizations are looking forward to having the opportunity to utilize the facility.”
As the work of Ouellet Construction rolls on at the site, parish officials are also busy with ongoing fundraising efforts. To date, over $3.6 million of the $4.7 million goal has been pledged or donated, and there is now a new way to contribute.
“The parish is holding a raffle to benefit the facility,” said Baskerville. “Thanks to a generous donation from a parish family, we are able to offer the winner a $5,000 travel voucher through Dube Travel.”
Tickets are $10 and are available through Monday, Feb. 12. The winning ticket will be drawn on Valentine’s Day. To purchase raffle tickets, visit St. John’s Catholic School (37 Pleasant St.), the parish office (132 McKeen St.), the parish website (www.allsaintsmaine.com), or before and after weekend Masses at parish churches.
“The winning ticket will be drawn by the top-selling St. John’s student,” said Baskerville. “The student who sells the most raffle tickets will receive free tuition and registration fees for the 2018-2019 school year.”
