BRUNSWICK

Maine Songwriters Association has announced that the December edition of their Songwriters on Stage series at Frontier in Brunswick will be Dec. 7 at 7 p.m.

December’s show will feature Delilah Poupore, David Webb, emerging artist Abbie Watson and Ben Hunsberger who will be hosting the event. Watson will start the show with a 15- minute set of original songs. Then Poupore, Webb, and Hunsberger will take the stage for a round-robin format in Frontier’s theater.

Prior to her move to Maine in 2007, Poupore played and sang for ten years in Southern California as one- half of the acoustic duo, “Antara & Delilah.” A& D recorded four albums, performed extensively as a duo and toured as an acoustic trio with Jim Messina. Poupore teaches songwriting classes, uses songwriting in her team development workshops and co- developed Singing Hands classes for parents and their young ones to learn sign language while singing and playing.

Drawing on jazz, blues and rock influences, Webb has been writing and performing throughout the northeastern United States, Europe and the Middle East for the past 20 years. His musical roots include a stint as the guitarist for the University of New Hampshire Jazz Band and the lead guitarist for the rock band Legacy. He most recently toured with the band The Quays, and Summit performing at festivals, clubs and resorts throughout New England. Webb’s solo CD, “Breathing Life In,” draws on this journey of life and music, with songs ranging from quiet acoustic ballads to rock and roll and blues.

Watson, a 15 year old singer- songwriter from Vassalboro, Maine, has been writing song lyrics as long as she can remember. Since the age of 12, she has been dabbling in the studio with Steve Jones writing music for her lyrics and melodies which led to her first album release titled Love & Learn. Watson now plays and writes the music to her songs and is ready to start working on her second album.

Hunsberger has release 8 CDs of original music. His latest effort released in January this year — “New Paint” — has been featured on Sarah Willis ‘In Tune’ and received critical acclaim.

Admission to this event is $ 10 and tickets can be purchased online at www.explorefrontier.com or at the door.
