Kent was born on May 31, 1964, the son of Otis and Avis Brown of North Harpswell. He grew up attending North Harpswell schools and was a graduate of Mt. Ararat High School in Topsham. Currently, Kent was employed at Moody’s Collision Center in Scarborough, Maine.
Kent leaves behind his wife Andrea of Old Orchard Beach, two sons, Adam Brown of Jacksonville, N.C., and Brandon Brown of Portland, Maine, and a granddaughter Isabella of Indiana. Kent is also survived by three brothers: Keith, Wayne and Kevin Brown, five sisters: Brenda Mitchell, Suzanne Moreau, Nancy Brown, Sally Conrad and Sherry Lindemann, and 19 nieces and nephews.
Kent was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He spent many summers with his parents at the family camp on West Lake fishing for salmon and bass and he spent a lot of time off the ocean in Harpswell boating and fishing. Kent was a skilled auto bodyman and car painter and was always collecting cars and motorcycles. He enjoyed and had visited North Carolina, Las Vegas and Florida in recent trips. He will be lovingly remembered by family and friends for his happy go lucky attitude and his ever present grin.
