BRUNSWICK — J. Louis Ouellette, 87, of Longfellow Ave., died Friday March 8, 2013 at Hawthorne House in Freeport. He was born in Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada on December 13, 1925, a son of Vital and Anna Emond Ouellette. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946 and 1950 to 1952. On April 30, 1949, he married Cecile Lachance and made their home in Brunswick.

He joined the Brunswick Post Office in 1956 and worked there for 28 1/2 years as a jack of all trades, retiring in 1985.

Louis was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church and a 3rd degree member of the Brunswick Knights of Columbus.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and playing golf.

Louis is predeceased by his parents; a daughter, Louise Caron who died Aug 5th, 2008; a sister, Lucille McDuff; and two brothers, Dorice and William Ouellette.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 63 years Cecile Ouellette of Brunswick; children, Rachel Levasseur of Brunswick, Lorraine Waite and her husband David of Topsham, and Michael Ouellette of Las Vegas; a sister, Ann Jack of California; a brother, Maurice Ouellette of Ohio; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00am Thursday, March 14th at All Saints Parish, St John the Baptist Church, 39 Pleasant St., Brunswick. Burial will be later in the spring at St. John’s Cemetery.
