BRUNSWICK — In the spirit of giving this holiday season, customers and employees of Downeast Energy are collecting toys for Sweetser, Maine’s most comprehensive mental health network.
They are also participating in Big Hits 100.9 WYNZ’s “Stuff A Big Bus Food Drive” for Preble Street.
“The response from caring people and other businesses has been heartwarming. This year, children and families have greater needs than ever before. We are grateful to Downeast Energy, their employees and their customers for supporting our annual toy drive,” Todd Henry, director of development at Sweetser, said in a news release.
The wish list for teens includes gift cards, CDs, DVDs, sports team items, sweatshirts and sweatpants, winter hats, gloves, hand-held electronic games, arts and crafts supplies, prepaid calling cards and board games.
Toy collection boxes are located in Downeast Energy offices in Southern and Central Maine, including Brunswick, Kennebunk, Lisbon Falls, York, Waterville, Hallowell, Mt. Vernon, South Portland, Windham, Biddeford, Bath, Yarmouth and Springvale.
People can drop off a new, unwrapped toy for children 6 to 18 years old at any of the locations from Nov. 25 through Dec. 13.
