Alcohol seller, server course now online
AUGUSTA — The Bureau of Alcoholic Beverages and Lottery Operations, in partnership with InforME, has announced that a new online alcoholic beverage seller and server training course is now available through Maine.gov.
The training is open to any individual or group who sells and/or serves alcoholic beverages in the state.
“If you are unable to attend alcoholic beverage seller and server training programs offered by other sources, you now have the ability to learn about selling and serving alcoholic beverages from the comfort of your home or office. The information provided through the online training program is the same information provided during the face-to-face workshops that are held around the state,” Tim Poulin, acting director of the Bureau of Alcoholic Beverages and Lottery Operations, said in a news release.
The training material is separated into categories and includes a glossary of terms and acronyms, and additional information on the laws governing the sale or serving of alcoholic beverages in Maine. Following a review of the course materials, you must complete a 50-question online examination and, once successfully completed, you will be able to print a course completion certificate certifying that you have passed the Maine State Alcoholic Beverages Seller and Server training program.
There is an $18 fee for the online training. After beginning the training course, you have 15 days from your last login to complete the training, including making payment.
