PORTLAND — The 46th annual MTA Championships Tennis Tournament will be played this upcoming weekend beginning on Friday at the Fore River (Waynflete) Sports Complex.

Competition in the Maine Tennis Association-sanctioned major event will be held in men’s and women’s open singles and doubles, as well as in men’s 35, 45, 55 and 65-plus singles. Large and competitive fields are expected.
