Scramble to get to Fryeburg Fair
THERE’S GOING to be lots of pulling on the opening day of the Fryeburg Fair: horse pulling, oxen pulling, tractor pulling, maybe even carnies pulling patsies — er, parents — to their booths to try to win junior yet another stuffed animal. There will also be a midway, live children’s theater, livestock exhibits and more.
WHEN: Opens 8 a.m. Sunday; runs through Oct. 10.
WHERE: Route 5, Fryeburg
HOW MUCH: $10 admission; $5 for parking; free for children under 12. Seniors 65 and older get in free Tuesday.
